Our Story
Lavandine (pronounced ‘la van deen’)
In 2020, the global pandemic moved our family out of the city and we ended up here on the native land of the Popeloutcham (Amah Mutsun) people. Founded in 2022 with a first patch of culinary lavender we revived our family memories of visits to Provence, France. We surveyed a few francophone friends with the question of what we should name the lavender farm et voila! Lavandine (pronounced ‘la van deen’) was born.
Our plants thrive on neglect as they say and enjoy views across the Pajaro Valley to the Monterey Bay. We use no harmful products on the farm and do all the work by hand. We focus our production on small batch lavender Bitters as well as hydrosol and essential oil.
Our farm gives native species of pollinators, birds, domestic and wildlife space to flourish and the scent of lavender relieves the worries of our times. Aromatherapy unlocks our worried minds in a unique way and a specialty cocktail (or mocktail) with our lavender bitters enhances feelings of wellness.
